SMS Terms & Conditions
1 Program Description
By opting in to Wepinion SMS Alerts, you consent to receive recurring automated text messages from Wepinion, Inc. ("Wepinion," "we," "us," or "our") at the mobile phone number you provide. These SMS Terms & Conditions ("SMS Terms") supplement and are incorporated into our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Types of Messages
Wepinion may send you the following types of text messages:
- Account Verification: One-time passcodes and security verification messages to confirm your identity
- Security Alerts: Notifications about unusual account activity, password changes, and login attempts
- Activity Notifications: Updates about votes on your decisions, comments, mentions, and other platform activity you have opted in to receive
- Promotional Messages: Information about new features, platform updates, special events, and other marketing communications (with your separate consent where required)
2 Consent & Opt-In
By providing your mobile phone number and agreeing to receive text messages from Wepinion, you expressly consent to receive recurring automated SMS and MMS messages, including marketing messages, at the number provided. You authorize Wepinion to use autodialer or non-autodialer technology to send text messages to your mobile phone number. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services or of using the Wepinion platform.
By agreeing to receive text messages, you also consent to the use of an electronic record to document your agreement. You may withdraw your consent to the use of the electronic record by replying STOP to any message.
How You Opt In
You may opt in to receive SMS messages from Wepinion by:
- Providing your mobile number during account registration and checking the SMS opt-in box
- Enabling SMS notifications in your account settings (Settings → Notifications)
- Texting a designated keyword to our short code or phone number as advertised
3 Message Frequency
Message frequency varies by user and depends on your account activity and notification preferences. You may receive up to approximately 25 messages per month. Actual message volume depends on your settings, account activity, and the types of messages you have opted in to receive.
You can control which types of messages you receive and adjust notification frequency in your account settings at any time (Settings → Notifications).
4 How to Opt Out (Stop Messages)
You can opt out of receiving SMS messages from Wepinion at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. You may also text any of the following keywords: STOP, QUIT, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE, or OPT OUT. You will receive a single confirmation message confirming your opt-out. After that, you will no longer receive text messages from us.
Other Ways to Opt Out
In addition to replying STOP, you may also opt out by:
- Adjusting your notification preferences in your account settings (Settings → Notifications)
- Emailing legal@wepinion.com with the subject line "SMS Opt-Out" and the phone number you wish to unsubscribe
Re-Opting In
If you have opted out and wish to start receiving SMS messages again, you may re-opt in by enabling SMS notifications in your account settings or by texting START to the number from which you previously received messages.

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Wepinion and mobile carriers (including, but not limited to, T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, and all other wireless carriers) are not responsible for any delays or failures in the delivery of any SMS messages. Delivery of messages is subject to effective transmission from your wireless service provider and is outside of our control. T-Mobile is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
8 Supported Carriers
Our SMS program is supported on most major U.S. wireless carriers, including but not limited to AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, and other participating carriers. Carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. Not all carriers may support all message types (e.g., MMS). Service may not be available in all areas.
9 Privacy & Data Use
Your mobile phone number, opt-in status, and messaging preferences are collected and used in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By opting in to our SMS program, you agree that we may collect and process your phone number and related information for the purposes described in these SMS Terms.
What We Collect
- Your mobile phone number
- Your opt-in and opt-out status and timestamps
- Message delivery and interaction data
- Your notification preferences
No Sharing of Opt-In Data
We will not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information, including text messaging originator opt-in data and consent, will not be shared with any third parties. We may share your information with service providers who assist in delivering our SMS messages, subject to contractual obligations to protect your data.
10 Relationship to Other Notification Channels
SMS is one of three notification channels available on Wepinion. Push notifications and email are also available. Wepinion uses a channel priority system: for each notification, the system attempts delivery through your highest-priority enabled channel first, then falls through to the next channel only if the first is unavailable. The default priority order is push notifications first, email second, and SMS third. This means that if you have push notifications and SMS both enabled, most immediate notifications will be delivered via push rather than SMS. SMS delivery primarily occurs when push notifications and email are both unavailable or disabled for a notification event.
Digest summary emails are always delivered via email regardless of your channel priority settings; they are never sent via SMS.
Opting in to SMS notifications is independent of push notification and email notification preferences. You can enable or disable each channel separately for each of your profiles. Enabling SMS does not disable other channels, and disabling SMS does not affect push or email notification delivery.

The Wepinion SMS program is available only to users who:
- Are at least 18 years of age
- Reside in the United States
